Show up. We’ll take it from there.
You’ll be greeted, introduced, and shown exactly where to sit. No walking into a room and hoping for the best.
A beginner Magic night · 12 planned seats · Minneapolis
Curious about Magic but not sure where to start? Come learn over a few low-stakes games with other adults who are figuring it out too. We’ve got the decks, the teacher, and a seat for you.
No deck or experience needed. Your refundable deposit counts toward your ticket.

You’ll fit right in
Totally new We’ll start at the beginning, hand you a deck, and talk through every move.
Magic-curious If you’ve watched friends play and thought “maybe someday,” this is someday.
Back after a break Rusty is welcome. Relearn at your pace and ask the questions you think you should remember.
Looking for a playgroup Come meet people who want the same thing: good games and good company.
What the night feels like
You’ll be greeted, introduced, and shown exactly where to sit. No walking into a room and hoping for the best.
We’ll cover the basics, then play. Ask anything, take back a move, and learn as the game starts making sense.
Try another deck, meet someone new, or run it back. Leave knowing who you’d like to play with next time.
The first twelve
Your refundable $10 deposit holds your spot and counts toward the ticket: $49 on your own or $89 for two. When all twelve seats fill, I’ll lock in the venue, send the details, and make this first night official.
If we don’t reach twelve, the night won’t happen and every deposit goes straight back.
Why this exists
“Magic is easier to learn when someone hands you a deck and says, ‘Sit here—we’ve got you.’ Making new friends should feel that simple too. That’s the whole idea.”
— Your host in Minneapolis

The stuff you’re wondering
Really. If you can show up curious, you’re ready. We’ll start with the basics and teach through actual games.
Nope. Beginner-friendly decks are ready for you. If you have a casual favorite, feel free to bring it and we’ll see if it fits the night.
Not at all—it’s kind of the point. We’ll handle the introductions, seats, and table changes so you never have to break into a group by yourself.
Somewhere comfortable in Minneapolis. The exact venue will be chosen and emailed once twelve seats fill, so we book the right-sized space.
It holds your seat and comes off your final ticket. If we don’t reach twelve players or the event is cancelled, it goes back to your original payment method.
